The fact that he is doing an about face is the only thing about this that makes me wonder if this was an inside job. If he had doubled down on his rhetoric, that would fit the man. The quick turnaround to unity is either political genius, or a pre-planned move. We were all expecting him to come out firing after this thing: not use it to reach left wing voters but he did: and he has the perfect backdrop for it: he can say he had a near death experience, and changed his mind: and left wing voters have to admit: "hey, he's the one that got shot at, maybe our crazies are just as crazy as their
s.". It's a perfect situation for trump. Almost too perfect. However: without any proof that it is an inside job, I'd sound just as crazy as the Big Lie folks to believe that, so I don't. Right now it just seems like a perfect political turn of events for trump.
