I certainly am not going to intrude on another member like that Broly. I have no idea if he needs help or not and individuals can only be helped when they decide they need help you cannot usually force psychological or emotional "help" on others mate. This kind of conversation should be private between you and him if you truly think he has a problem. Labelling an individual on a forum probably would not help them. Personally I think you're doing your drama thing again.
I'd be happy for blake if he stopped drinking. but brolly, interventions are for family/friends to impose with. internet forum strangers cannot have interventions. I do believe you mean well, but you hang out with some mentally sick people online who obviously don't have his best interests at heart (not-eon)
as whirly suggested, it's more constructive to reach out on your own, not with an internet mob at your back. if he doesn't respond, at least you tried, and can finally put it aside get some sleep tonight

We have talked extensively about it, he likes talking to people. It was actually Snowdragons idea I speak to him and decided not too originally but after further thought, I decided it was the right thing.
the best way to help would be to conceive a drunk-proof method of metering out alcohol to an alcoholic who is trying to ween themselves off the sauce. something that cannot be raided and binged upon. invent something

True I’ve spoken to him about stopping but he forgets the conversations a lot. I think tomorrow I’m going to have a conversation with him early in the day about and see what is thinking.
