Russia offered Taliban bounty to kill UK and US soldiers

Russia offered bounty to kill UK soldiers

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2...AndroidApp_Copy

The Russian intelligence unit behind the attempted murder in Salisbury of the former double agent Sergei Skripal secretly offered to pay Taliban-linked fighters to kill British and American soldiers in Afghanistan, according to US reports.

The revelation piles pressure on the UK to take robust action against the Kremlin amid continuing anger over the government’s delay in publishing a key report on Russian attempts to destabilise the UK.

The bombshell report in the New York Times says there has been a major escalation by Moscow to undermine the White House and its coalition allies, including the UK, as President Trump seeks a peace deal with the Taliban.

Let me tell you something about the US military, they are backed by tech, so they aren't really effected by a bunch towell heads. The military or deep state did 9-11 not towell heads. Just because towell heads took a plane doesn't mean that event was not orchestrated. You know how much money the deep state has made from 9-11 and anti-muslim hyperbole?

We should offer those same Russian agents money to kill those Russian agents.

They would explode from confusion but still complete the contract and get paid.

Oh, of course it is. Like always. I don't even have to read the OP to know that pooty/whirly made this about Trump and how it's supposedly all his fault. Like I've said many times before, Trump lives rent free in his head.

The deep state and military industrial complex could profit from wars, especially ones they cause, and terrosism could also be a thing. They aren't mutually exclusive. D-bags like Dick Cheney exist, starting wars just to gain financially from the construction afterwards. But, the Taliban is also a thing.

You conspiracy theorists would be acknowledged more often if you didn't act like it was so black-and-white.

And you know....if you stopped calling them towel heads.

As for the topic, it doesn't surprise me Russia would do this. Heck, the US and UK have probably done the same to Russia tbh.

First world nations with their proxy wars fuel much of the woes in the Middle East.

So far the usual suspects have been smart enough to avoid trying to blame Trump. How long this will last is anyone's guess.

And it'd be so damn easy for any official with a grudge to lie and anonymously go "trump knew and did nothing". So wait for that too.

What evidence?

Here's the thing about intelligence: It's hard to know if you're being lied to.

Did you know Muslims have been wrongfully accused of car bombings that were enacted by domestic government forces, to justify an excuse for invasion, for example?

Trump is claiming he was not told of this intelligence breifing, he was, he simply chose to not do anything about it.

He's throwing American lives under this bus this time.

This whole Russia thing just feels like a political slander on the Right to me.

I have no plans on voting for Trump, but Russia as a king maker and major threat?

They're a bankrupt, broken nation. A cesspool that hasn't recovered from Cold War bankruptcy. India could probably take them now.

Trump Says He Was Not Briefed On Russian Bounties Because Intelligence 'Not Credible'

In a tweet late Sunday night, President Trump said the intelligence community told him he was not briefed about allegations that Russia had offered the Taliban bounty payments to kill Western forces — including U.S. troops — because it did not find the reports credible. -snip

Afghanistan war: Trump got written briefing on 'Russia bounties', reports say

Officials have insisted that President Donald Trump was not "personally" informed of the alleged plot in Afghanistan in 2019.

But reports say the president received a written briefing earlier this year.

There is concern that Mr Trump might have had access to information about threats to US forces but did not act.
-snip

I find it hard to believe Trump was not given a report on this, he very likely was and simply didn't bother to read it. Not reading security briefings or having just tidbits told to him secondhand is something that has haunted him since he took office. Even staunch Republicans who have worked for him have said this.

They handwaved what Trump did to America in Helsinki in going out of his way to defend Putin. But this is US soldiers being potentially killed, you'd think they'd act differently.

Just to be clear Surt. You absolutely buy Trump's narrative that he didn't know?

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Do we have that?
