Pay the dollar so you can watch it in decent quality. If you're really against forking over money to Amazon, then torrent it. Don't stream it. The quality of the video on that site is abhorrent.
I watch Godzilla movies to see giant monsters fight and **** shit up. I could care less about the human’s story and the themes. That doesn’t make me unintelligent. Thanks though!

And thats a good point, we all watch them for different reasons. There is some die hard showa era fans on tohokingdom that hate the cgi. I personally love it because it opens up the ways they move and fight. At least done properly.
I grew up on the suits and they have a special place in my heart but some of the shots from KOTM like Ghidorah on the Volcano , the city melting etc. Just can't be replicated as well.
Despite what I felt was a cheesy looking Godzilla, especially the second form, looked like a creepy child's doll, the story was very good, a lambast of the ineffectual Japanese government, which many Japanese feel. As with most people feel towards their respective governments.
Final Wars or the Kiryu movies manage to look good, and are 70 percent Kaiju.
The CGI franchise is maybe 15% Kaiju, 75% people. Really unlikeable people.
It's funny, the Bayformers movies were all CGI and managed to show more of it. Either Godzilla had more expensive CGI, or they were cheap about it.

Not sure that's accurate. Nerds have crunched the numbers for us regarding Godzilla's screen time:

2 Godzilla 2000 0:22:28
3 Godzilla Vs Hedorah 0:20:33
4 Godzilla Vs Destroyah 0:20:09
5 Godzilla X Megaguirus 0:20:08
6 Godzilla Vs SpaceGodzilla 0:19:38
7 Return of Godzilla 0:18:54
8 Shin Godzilla 0:17:23
9 Godzilla Vs Biollante 0:16:49
10 GMK: Giant Monsters All Out Attack 0:16:40

12 Godzilla Vs Mothra 0:15:16
13 Godzilla Final Wars 0:14:55
14 Godzilla Vs King Ghidorah 0:14:46
15 Ebirah, Horror of the Deep 0:13:01
16 Godzilla (1998) 0:12:58
17 Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S. 0:12:52
18 Son of Godzilla 0:11:56
19 Godzilla X MechaGodzilla 0:11:48
20 Godzilla Vs Megalon 0:10:24
21 Mothra Vs Godzilla 0:10:24
22 Godzilla (2014) 0:09:56
23 Terror of MechaGodzilla 0:09:34
24 Godzilla Raids Again 0:09:32
25 King Kong Vs Godzilla 0:09:13
26 Gojira 0:08:44
27 Destroy All Monsters 0:08:29
28 All Monsters Attack 0:08:19
29 Ghidorah, the Three Headed Monster 0:07:55
30 Godzilla Vs MechaGodzilla 0:07:55
31 Invasion of the Astro Monster 0:05:43
Seemed like more to me. Guess I just didn't dislike the human element enough in those old movies to notice?
The 2000 and up series really ramps up the Kaiju on Kaiju action though.
The first 2k Mechagodzilla is awesome. Almost like Pacific Rim meets Godzilla.
I recommend it, if you haven't seen it yet. Personally I prefer it to Final Wars even, and that one was pure fan service.

Thinking back to my childhood, I would also swear that we saw a lot more of the monsters. But often not the case.
Why I laughed when people slammed Godzilla (2014) for it's lack of Godzilla screen time and monsters mashes. Sure it was limited, but not unheard of for the franchise.
Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla (2002)? I think I've watched it or parts of, not entirely sure.
