Probably more likely because of all his constant yelling and getting so worked-up over everything. Doing that kind of stuff for as long as he's been doing it has to take a heavy toll on a person.
The thing is, much of the stuff he says is actually true but he tries so hard to get his listeners as wound-up as he is about it so they will go out and do something about all the horrible stuff going on even though he repeatedly keeps saying "I don't condone violence but....".
