All of the modern day versions are based on corrupt texts. The KJV is the only english Bible that is not.
Again, read some of Gail Riplinger's work. I don't really care to get into a long debate over bible versions. I am King James only and will always be so. There are lots of problems with the newer versions.
God promised to preserve His Words. All of the bibles can't be His Word when they all say different things. I'm not just talking about minor, insignificant changes. I'm talking about major changes that affect doctrine and things like the deity of Christ.
All of the modern versions have also been heavily influenced by roman catholicism and that includes the so-called "New King James" Version.

The King James is the only pure text in english. King James had dozens of the best and smartest translators in the world and it still took them like seven years (iirc) to complete the Bible.
And they were actually translating the proper text, unlike the translators of the new versions.

no Bible version is perfect, and i'm NOT saying all Bibles are the word of God, you're generalizing that KJV is perfect and all other versions and translations are corrupt
but the word of God is written in the Bible, but what version? it's for the people of God to examine, seek and search (Isaiah 34:16)
saying only one is perfect and the others are not is just plain lazy, in my opinion
On page 3 of this thread I posted a link to a Gail Riplinger speech.
If you don't want to devote too much time to reading her books you can just watch that instead, though she doesn't go into near as much detail as she does in her books, obviously.
These newer versions are meant to prepare people to accept the antichrist's coming New World Order. Don't be deceived by the poison that is mixed in with the truth in them. Many verses have actually been removed from the newer versions... that is WHOLE verses, not just words. Though a lot of words are missing from other verses as well.
Hopefully you're not one of these deceived christians who thinks that the rapture takes place before the Great Tribulation. If so, you're gonna be in for a shock when you find out we will have to go thru it (at least those who're still alive will).
The Bible does not teach a pre-trib rapture. God's wrath and the tribulation are two entirely different things. Tribulation is not God's wrath. Tribulation is what the world does to us for standing firm with Jesus Christ and the Word of God. It will not be supernatural events (that will be God's wrath) and millions upon millions of true Bible-believing Christians willl be martyred for the cause of Christ during this horrible time.

"Adherents of the King James Only movement, largely members of evangelical, conservative holiness movement, traditional High Church Anglican, and Baptist churches, believe that the KJV is the greatest English translation ever produced, needing no further improvements, and they also believe that all other English translations which were produced after the KJV are corrupt." -snip
One must ask why the supposed literal word of God needed any 'improving' in the first place?
"What does God need with a starship?" -Captain James T. Kirk, circa 8454.1
The King James Bible is still and always will be the ONLY legitimate Holy Bible in english.

Again, stick with the King James Bible if you truly want God's Words in english.
