The U.S. Capitol Police has suspended six officers with pay for their actions on Jan. 6, when a pro-Trump mob attacked the U.S. Capitol in an attempt to stop the certification of President Biden's Electoral College victory, according to a department statement.
An additional 29 officers remain under investigation as part of the department's ongoing probe into the events that unfolded that day. -snip
Every election there's voter fraud on some level, someone voted twice, someone's dead grandmother voted, ballots found in a ditch, etc. Voter fraud on a level to change the outcome of the election though? Not proven, that's why lawsuit after lawsuit failed over the 2020 election.
Also, Steven Crowder is a fool, especially when it comes to guns. He knows nothing.
He got 70 million votes, which is more than any president ever. That's why I said that. He didn't campaign to the same level as they other candidates. I don't care, campaigning used to be seen as perverse and too self promotional.
Im ambivalent towards Biden.
I don't care if he won legitimately or not, I just wanted to see other people's points of view.
I think the fact that 3 Trump appointed judges denied his claims says something.
Crowder is okay, I watch him because he's funny more so than knowledgeable. I do watch Dave Smith for his ideas tho.
Idc if it was stolen, I think the whole political machine is b.s.
I dont have any left friends to challenge Steven Crowder videos, so this is where I do that, so thank you for talking to me.
Biden got 81 million votes and Trump got 74 million votes. Both men are #1 and #2 in numbers of votes. This isn't due to fraud, it's due to voter turn out and increasing population. Next election we will probably have another record.
You should care if the sitting President legitimately won, especially if you're going to try and cast doubts.
The numbers make sense then, thank you for clearing that up.
I cast doubt on the idea of democracy and the political class as a whole. The particulars don't matter, the existence of the whole structure is problematic to me.
Put another way, I'll never think any president is legitimate, nor any politician or their actions.
I think you saying that won't change one thing. You'll still pay taxes and obey the law of the land, or face consequences if you don't...
Everyone with the "I don't believe in it, and X isn't MY president.". In all honesty, why do you say that? What does it mean to you too be in the system, but believe you aren't part of the system? Genuine question. I just don't see the point. You believe in it by partaking in it, in my humble opinion.
Imagine a political dissenter in North Korea being told that.
What would your reaction to that be ?
It seems your opinion is predicated on a foundation that westernized liberal democracies have taken for granted so long, that most people can't even see it anymore.
Surely you understand the distinction between compliance, as a consequence of coercive force, and choice, as a privilege of liberty, no ?
P.s. just to be completely clear; don't have a problem with any individual president, it is the station of president.
I don't hate Joseph Stalin, I think the role of dictator is implicitly/deontologically immoral

The more freedom you have in a system, the more likely you are to buck and rebel at it. North Koreans as a rule don't practice speaking out and wanting change because their system is so controlling and brutal it's beyond risky to do so.
In theory, the governing bodies should derive consent from the governed, but in practice they either exert power over the citizens or blow smoke up their ass and out their eyes to maintain power. N. Korea tries to be the former; the U.S. political system does the latter.
Also, questioning the legitimacy of an elected ruler is potentially pointless if you're not in a position to -do- anything about it. If Immortan Joe calls himself my leader because he controls the water, and all I can do is weep and wipe sand from my eyes all day long, he's de facto my leader. If you intend to start building guillotines in D.C. though, that might be more effective than asserting your passive disagreement.
The FBI’s Washington Field Office has released new information and videos of suspects in the most egregious assaults on federal officers during the riots at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, and is seeking the public’s help to identify them.
It has been two months since violent extremists breached the U.S. Capitol and committed a litany of federal criminal acts. With the assistance of hundreds of thousands of tips from the American people, the FBI has arrested more than 300 individuals who took part in the Capitol riots. Of those, more than 65 were arrested for assaulting law enforcement officers. However, some of the most violent offenders have yet to be identified, including the 10 seen assaulting officers in the video footage we are releasing today. -snip
Several faces of these "patriots" as the Right calls them, are fully visible. I imagine they'll get caught fairly soon as someone is going to speak up who knows them.
from the party that brought you "blue lives matter"

Would standing outside the capital be arrestable though?
Technically, its fine to just stand around and protest. Not sure if the members who breached the capital are considered accessories or not (Isn't that guilt by association? What if someone walked in off the street, saw the mob, and wanted to see what it was about?)
