Perhaps the picture was from before they added the blade, that's what I assumed, but yeah, it probably is a tiny little gallows instead and the headline is incorrect. It does have steps after all. Either way it's really dumb.
It's more likely the press just isn't smart enough to know the difference between a gallows and a guillotine.
Just to be clear, both are unacceptable.

I don't think any of them "deserve" a bullet, but I'm sure many of these people also preach about personal responsibility, and violently invading the state capitol building with elected officials inside is going to get a reaction from security. It's no different than a mob of people invading the white house, being shot is obviously a possibility and anyone with a functioning brain would know this before engaging in the act. The woman was shot because of her actions, she's directly responsible. Play stupid games win stupid prizes. Personal responsibility and all that.
I think they deserve lengthy prison sentences now that it's all over with. 10-20 years each. Even those who were "caught up in the moment". That's no excuse for taking part in an insurrection.

Agreed, does the same hold true to those protestors that spent weeks laying siege to the federal courthouse in(IIRC) Portland or the people that took over several city blocks and held it by force(Chaz)?
