Gaetz Crony Seeks Sentencing Delay, Has More Dirt to Spill
Joel Greenberg, the former Seminole County tax collector who pleaded guilty to six federal crimes in May, has asked a judge to delay his sentencing until March 2022 as he continues to cooperate with federal authorities.
Greenberg is currently slated to be sentenced November 18th, but in a newly filed motion, his attorney Fritz Scheller said that Greenberg's cooperation with investigators, which was a condition of his plea deal "cannot be completed prior to the time of his sentencing."
"The parties expect that Mr. Greenberg will participate in additional proffers, and a continuance would provide Mr. Greenberg with additional time to do so prior to his sentencing," the motion states.

Joel Greenberg, a Florida tax collector who sources say agreed to cooperate in the federal probe into his one-time close associate, Republican Representative Matt Gaetz, was sentenced Thursday to 11 years in prison after pleading guilty to crimes ranging from wire fraud to sex trafficking a minor.
Greenberg pleaded guilty last May to six of the 33 federal charges he was facing, including charges of stalking, identity theft, wire fraud, and conspiracy to bribe a public official, as well as one charge of sex trafficking.
Greenberg reached a plea deal with investigators in May 2021 in which he agreed to provide "substantial assistance" to prosecutors as part of their ongoing investigation into Gaetz and others, according to sources familiar with the arrangement.
If that is the sentence he received for cooperating, just imagine what they have on Gaetz.

Republican sex trafficker Joel Greenberg is going to prison for 11 years
Really hope they're able to get Republican Matt Gaetz as well with at least the sex trafficking charge, paying to have sex with an underage girl and her illegal transport for said purposes. Tucker Carlson will be spinning harder than ever if that happens.

While expected, it still sucks that Republican Matt Gaetz used his power and influence to weasel his way out of justice. Rightist are rejoining in their victory.
Not the first time a Republican child rapist served in congress. Dennis Hastert served as the Republican Speaker of the House from 1999-2007 (longest serving Republican SotH), second in line to be POTUS, right behind the VP and he was a serial child molester/rapist. Was only years after he dropped out of politics that his past caught up to him.
Clearly they realized there was nothing there, and appropriately decided against wasting yet more tax money on another witch hunt.

The issue is that the underage girl he flew to a foreign country to have sex with is not cooperating. You only get one bite at the apple, so they are not going to charge him unless they can make it stick.

She may have been paid or believe she will be rewarded for her silence. She may fear being identified or incrimminating herself. The are any number of reasons.
