That army of the undead that is about as threatening as a star wars droid army.

Never let anyone else define you. The dead cannot be killed, because they are already dead. That makes them unstoppable. You cannot hurt them, but they can hurt you. And when you die, you join them. Yeah, totally like droids.
Everyone surviving is a stake, sure enough. The problem is they had no real active role aside from survival.
No reason to fight. Could have as easily ran away.
By the same token, once Evil Lynn bathed in the Power amped by the center of the universe, her undead army achieved its goals. No one can stop her except Teela, who was something of an unexpected factor, and therefore her undead army became redundant to her plans. What did it matter killing people who would be wiped out along with the universe?
What I would have preferred is a Star Wars VI set up, where you have Luke dealing with the Emperor and Vader who were the brains of the Empire, Han and Leia dealing with the shield generator, and Lando directly attacking the Star Destroyers and Death Star. All three fronts were vital, and failure in any one can mean the bad guys win.
Nothing like that in the final fight of MOTU:R. It was all Teela vs Lynn for all the marbles, and everyone hold out until then.
