We will never come to any meeting of the minds on here if you don't think BLM isn't motivated by legitimate, historical gripes against the power structure. Hundreds of years of mobs of white people - and white police officers - killing black people out of hand and justifying it with B.S. reasons. But things started to change after Rodney King in 1991, when we able to catch these people on video doing what they claim is 'self defense'. George Floyd was the most in-your-face example of a man exploiting his privilege as a white man and police officer, thinking you can get away with whatever you want.
It was a tragedy that saw worldwide anger, but the upside of it was lots of positive change in American society because of the protests. I only just heard about the Mississippi State Flag finally getting changed (taking the Confederate Battle Flag of it) because of this.
