I would maintain that your argument is with the scientific community on how to contain a pandemic. Your enemy here, never was the left, it was a virus. By making common sense tactics of containing a virus into a political fight, you cut your nose off to spite your face.
The rules weren't from the left, they were dictated by a virus. If Americans were ever going to set politics aside and deal with something ever again, this was it, and we see how it went....
If the following of the rules were, for instance, to stand up for the anthem, and reciting the pledge of allegiance, then I would agree: compulsory participation in either activity does sound fascist.
What you are calling fascist is essentially a mandate to follow traffic laws, for similar reasons, and the right simply couldn't do it...
