No. A thousand times, no. His ship hasn't been renamed in any story telling. A single Lego set was packaged as "Boba Fett's Ship," because it is targeted at kids and most kids don't know the name of the ship, but they know Boba Fett.
God, I'm so tired of these dumb click-bait articles trying to make something out of nothing.

Plenty of articles on the web. Some new ones suggest it's gonna be "Firespray" from now on. If true, that's quite lazy, considering that's what those ship models are called:
They probably won't "officially" change the name. But they will never refer to it by the name Slave 1 ever again. This is a good way for them to effectively change the name while still getting certain retards to defend them.
Anyway, I don't have an issue if they changed the name for a good reason. I've almost no connection with it other than the fact that it was essentially the source of one of the better Robot Chicken jokes. But you just know the reason isn't a good one. It's obviously been changed because of some oversensitive sorts.
Yeah i hate it too. I'm pretty sure no one ever complained about it. And what do they even fear? That children want to become slavers if they read the name Slave-I?
