Movies that cannot and should not be remade
What are some movies, in your opinion, that are so iconic and perfect that they absolutely should never be remade and simply can’t be remade?
My picks:
The Godfather
Jaws
Goodfellas
Se7en
Back to the Future
E.T.
The Princess Bride
The Breakfast Club
Clerks
Uncle Buck

I would rather see remakes of those movies instead of all the garbage that’s being made these days

The Crow
I know they've been trying to remake that one, I'd rather them do another Crow movie based on one of the other characters instead of Eric Draven again.

Some movies deserve to die and I've noticed that remakes now include hidden agendas for the wok movement. This may include a portrayal of certain groups that were once not included.

the wok movement.
Those goddamn Chinese chefs and their nefarious plot to corrupt our kids and brainwash them into making healthy stir fries.

Not 'Back to the Future'. Robert Zemeckis owns the rights and has stated he would never under any conditions sell the rights for a remake.

Not all, my man. There's the rare instances where the remake is as good or even better than the original.
The Thing (1982) comes to mind, also happens to be my favorite horror-scifi film.

The director of the original ‘the thing’ hates the remake. But I love it, the effects are incredible. Much better than the CGI used in the prequel.
