I don't think they will. I think they're consolidating gold, dumping their dollar reserves, bartering with their natural resources, paying foreign debts off with the rubble, and increasing economic and financial cooperation with China.
China and Russia are the last two nations that can pose a threat to globalization, hence why the corporate media (state owned) constantly spouts off with sinophobic and russophobic b.s.
Anything Russia or China has done the u.s. had done it and worse.
So if you don't like china's uigyar camps then the u.s. has some explaining to do for it's Japanese internment camps.
If you don't like Russia invading other countries then you shouldn't like the 70 coups the c.i.a. has committed or the fact the u.s. does gladio style operations and has infantry in over 80 countries.
Putin claims he's preventively attacking because of the neo Nazis, but they are a tiny fringe minority and their far right movement got no seats in the last election. At the recent peace conferences, all the Russians are demanding of Ukraine is promises they won't join NATO or the EU. That's ALL this is about.

It's just a silly distraction and excuses, Putin couldn't care less about them or the Russians living in Ukraine he's claiming to be protecting.
Russia has it's own problems with Neo-Nazi groups and movements.
eg The Russian National Unity (RNU) is one of the older ones. Their leader and super-duper-white-supremacist Alexander Barkashov supports the Russian separatist in Ukraine and members of the RNU have fought along side them.
There are Neo Nazis in the U.S. They are the largest domestic terrorist threat to this country. And they are running for office as Republicans, with almost no oppostion from rank-and-file Republican voters or the Republican party. By that reasoning, Russia would be justified in invading the U.S. That is how ****ing stupid this Trump humpers are.
I am by no means well-versed in this subject but articles I'm seeing are reporting that Ukraine are actually smart mother****ers and seem to be pushing back Russia fairly well at this point.
Actually beat Russia, unlikely. If nothing else, they simply don't have enough soldiers to win a war of attrition.
