Just think of them as Clumpies...Because Remember The "IT" has to decide its own gender...which can CHANGE Several Times...especially when "IT" gets to College.

**** you the term "it" is dehumanizing!
Oh wait, I guess we're supposed to dehumanize it before it passes through the birth canal

I'll tell you a story about dehumanising, a woman who worked in a low position as a cleaner in a company I worked with couldn't get the money for cesarean section. She was well past abortion time. I paid for the cesarean. A lot of people in the third world choose to have abortions because they have had complications with previous births and there circumstances are on the edge. These issues are all so much more complicated than religion, politics etc. pretend in hypothetical morality plays from people who dont and probably never will have to choose.

Hey I mean despite our disagreements on the issue of abortion, good for you man. Truly admirable on your part.
Whatever I may say about you politically, outside of politics you're clearly someone of great moral character.

In the ultimate “loss of choice”, I would say death would rank the highest. Nobody said there were easy answers. You know who will never get to choose? An aborted child. In fact, he/she gets no choices at all. Ever. Not at the start of his/her life nor at the end of it. The fact that we were all born gives us the luxury of choosing to debate on an internet forum. The child didn’t even get the choice to take his/her first breath.
I didn't do it for Kudos but mate I appreciate that, real life is a serious thing. The world we see with our first world glasses, isnt how it is for most people. Most people struggle to eat, fight diseases and die young. It's all luck, all of us on this board were born lucky enough to afford an internet connection. I suspect we all eat three square meals and have a roof over our heads.
Thanks Bada, sadly it's most of the world, on my journey to work from my gated apartment sitting in the back of my 4x4 my driver often stops at a set of traffic lights where polio victims beg, literally crawling in the dirt. The world for most people is about poverty, pain shame and death. The choices these people have to make daily are so different to ours. The minimum wage where I am may soon go up to about 15 dollars a week. Can any of us even imagine.
Nah, nothing you pro-abortionists have said changes the fact that the unborn have an inherent right to life and that denying them that right is morally reprehensible.

You certainly don't have to agree but the difference between first world abortion problems and third world vary greatly.
As a very tiny example since it can be much harder to receive medical care in third world areas and simply remote areas perineal tears can be a MAJOR problem for women. That's one tiny issue without delving into the whole socioeconomics involved where women are required to earn money to keep up families already below poverty lines.
I believe prevention is always better but that's just not always available. Not looking to change minds but perhaps to allow a more empathic view.
Also keep in mind the level of poverty I'm talking about is starving to death, literally. Picking who you feed type of poverty, it's real in the world.

Empathy, you say? How about having some empathy for that unborn child who didn't ask to be conceived and now has to suffer thru great pain (however brief it may be) and die because his or her mother and the guy whom she spread her legs for only cared about their own very short-term pleasure and now the mother sees the child as an inconvenience?
I certainly think there are special cases where good arguments can be made that abortion should be legal (mainly in cases of rape or ones in which the mother's life would be in danger) but those are only a tiny percentage of the overall number of abortions.
