Can't speak for the mainstream (who've probably been put off by Fox's efforts). But I've always enjoyed the FF.

^^^Like the X-Men franchise, I thought the FF movies were almost there.

Some good casting (Chiklis as Ben/Jones and Fishburne as Surfer), bad casting (Alba), failure to pull the trigger and just do it the way it is in the comics (non King of Latveria armored Doom/cloud Galactus).

I�m ready to be wowed by the MCU�s version of the FF, I�m just wary.

Reed was also good casting with Ioan Gruffudd

i felt the same for Sue Storm too, Just seemed like the people who were on those movies went for whoever was good looking

but even with that idea they failed at doing it
