Shin Godzilla was f'n amazing. It was nothing like the 1954 style aside from the rubber suits, but it's nothing like anything, it's in a class of its own.

This movie is doing better than expected, like I said it's an amazing time to be a Godzilla fan right now. Two movies within a year, one of them up there with the best of the Godzilla films. There's a book and some comics out.
But most importantly Godzilla almost killed Superman in one hit at that.
This is dirty ass, as Rob would say, and I even set my expectations pretty low. I only watched the first 40 or 45 minutes and every second the human "characters" (if you can call them that) were on screen I wanted to kill myself. I can't believe they brought back the podcast guy from the previous movie for a big role. He's horrendous.
That being said, some of the Godzilla and Kong stuff is cool, although even some of that is really bad, too. I laughed pretty hard when Kong started swinging the baby monkey and hitting the other apes attacking him and miraculously the baby was completely unharmed. It would have had dislocations and broken bones galore, unless this crazy hollow earth species has far greater resilience with higher gravity or something? Idfk..
So much wasted potential here. They should have let the director of Kong Skull Island take the reigns of this series. Then I think we might have had something much less horrendous. Even my 7-year-old son didn't have the patience for this crap. I may finish it at some point, just to see how much worse it gets, but we'll see. I have much higher priorities.

It's ridiculous. Midjourney always has its artificial mind in the gutter. Almost as if it wants to frame you and get you red flagged. I won't even post what shocking images it generated when I simply and innocently prompted:

The worst film of this sinister saga. There is nothing to save, everything is mediocre: the scenario is fake, the characters are ultra-caricatural, journeys to the center of the universe, mystical tribes, a young chosen one who controls a dragonfly that guarantees the universe, special effects that are not impressive and ugly as possible.
