A Hays County GOP leader has been sentenced to 410 years in prison after being convicted of 65 sexual abuse and child pornography charges. A Hays County judge sentenced 44-year-old Bo Dresner on Monday morning. Judge Gary Steel sentenced Dresner with multiple consecutive, or stacked, sentences. Dresner was a precinct chair and former sergeant-at-arms for the Hays County Republican Party.
The investigation began in 2019 following the outcry from a child who said that Dresner was sexually molesting her. While the investigation was ongoing, a Hays County sheriff's deputy stopped Dresner while he was on his way to the airport. He had a one-way ticket to Armenia—a country that does not have an extradition agreement with the U.S. It was discovered that Dresner had hundreds of thousands of images of child pornography on his electronic devices.

A South Florida pastor accused of sexually battering a 15-year-old girl in his church became a wanted man Monday after skipping out on scheduled court hearings. He is believed to be on the run.
Monte Chitty, the 62-year-old pastor of First Baptist Marathon, had been released on a $75,000 bond soon after his March arrest. Prosecutors say Chitty, who was supposed to be arraigned Monday, fled in a white van with out-of-state plates.
Deputies arrested Chitty on March 4th after they said he plied the teenager with alcohol, which she suspected had been "spiked" with something else, and said she passed out on a church library couch, and later woke up to Chitty performing oral sex on her.
Graphic texts to the girl were found on the pastor's phone, including a Google search for "how to make sex for a virgin less painful." He is also a former police officer.
Republican Representative Jon Stone's New Hampshire law enforcement career ended when he threatened to kill fellow police officers in a shooting spree, and murder his chief after raping the chief's wife and children, all while he was already under scrutiny for his inappropriate relationship with a teen girl, according to the internal investigation reports finally released this week.
Stone, a twice-elected Republican state representative for Claremont, has been fighting to keep those reports secret for years. Last month, the New Hampshire Supreme Court ruled that Stone could not block their release in response to a reporter's 2020 right-to-know request, ending years of legal challenges.
Stone, who is currently a second-term state representative, was announced as Trump's Sullivan County chair by his campaign on June 27, 2023. Trump first came to know Stone during his 2016 run, when Stone gave him an inscribed AR-15 assault rifle at a campaign stop. Stone opened a gun shop after losing his job as a police officer.
Stephen Stepanek, Trump's New Hampshire campaign chair, said he knew nothing about Stone's background until seeing news accounts. "I just found out about it this morning," Stepanek said Wednesday. "He's been a Trump supporter for a long time, and he's been a state representative, and he had, as far as we were concerned, what looked like a great background."
Stone has been the subject of at least 14 internal affairs investigations, yet continues to represent Claremont in the New Hampshire House.

Lake Alfred City Commissioner Charles Lake has been arrested on charges of possessing child pornography.
An arrest affidavit shows Polk County Sheriff's deputies served a warrant at Lake's home. Lake, documents show, confessed to police that he was in possession of child pornography, including many images kept on a "Patriot" USB drive.
The Lake Alfred Republican now faces 300 counts of possessing child pornography. The 90-year-old possessed pictures, based on the charges, of children between the ages 2 and 12 engaged in sex acts.

Republican Party of Florida Chair Christian Ziegler acknowledged in court that he kept numerous videos of sexual partners besides his wife. Sarasota Police have copies of them, and some 30,000 videos downloaded from Ziegler's iPhone last year.
Ziegler testified on the topic in a May 16th hearing in Sarasota as he and wife Bridget, a Sarasota County School Board member, try to stop the further release of embarrassing information. But just fighting the publishing of video has already put Ziegler in the position of discussing the case in open court.
"Are there other videos or photographs on your phone that depict other sexual activity with other people other than Mrs. Ziegler?" Bentley asked Christian Ziegler. "I believe so," he replied. He also said any people depicted in those videos were "willing participants" both in the sexual acts and with being filmed.
