I know what its like to get sports injuries. Last May I was playing baseball and completly messed up my right ankle. It popped right out of the skin and my tendon slid from the back to the front of my ankle. I had surgery a few weeks later and have a scar that will stick around. I still have physical therapy and have trouble walking on it still. It sucks, the Doc told me it will take one year to heal all the way, and will be sore after activities possibly for the rest of my life. It really sucks.

Re: music

JM3838 if you like Oasis then you should listen to the Stone Roses. Liam Gallagher decided he wanted to be in a band after seeing them. You can download some of there songs on a few of there sites.

No, not showing my age. The guy is a complete coke head, and I don't mean the fizzy kind!!!smile But he doesn't even have the decency to hide it, he actually flaunts the fact that he's smacked up or drunk most of the time.

I admit some of their stuff is OK, mostly their earlier tracks but there last few releases were crud and when was the last time the released anything of note?

He's no Rock and Roll star or even a rock star. Oasis have absolutely no versitilty, no wonder Robbie thinks he's a w@%ker.

You want Rock, try Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Meatloaf. They're Rock, OK ML hasn't done much for a couple of years.

Sorry KJ, I'm not getting down on you, I just can't stand Oasis or those idiot brothers.

Re: The Gallegers

Ratcat I know what you are saying but it's a generation thing. A lot of people probably thought Aerosmith and Meatloaf were jerks when they started. I was 14 when Oasis came along. Up until then the only music I'd heard in the British charts were Kylie and Jason and terrible dance music. Then these guys come along playing great music and behaving badly. For a fourteen year old that's great. They got me into serious music and that's why I'll always like them. In ten years I'll be saying that the new bands are terrible because their not like Oasis.

Re: The Gallegers

I don't know about the age thing so much. I guess the three bands I mentioned would definately be considered long stayers in the music biz but I just can't see Oasis knocking out hits songs 10, 15 or even 20 years from now.

I appreciate what your saying, but reaching 30 doesn't automatically exclude you from enjoying new music and bands.

Eminem, Mary Mary, Kandi, Destiny's Child, Wyclef, Robbie, Louise, Sonique, Anastasia, Spiller, Modjo, TLC, Pink.

In there is a selection of styles and every single one of them know who to treat fans. OK, maybe Eminem can be a bit suspect, but he's open and tell it like he see's it.

Please don't tar me with the "Old Fogey" brush just yet. I like my music to be either something I can turn up loud and break my voice sing to or somethng I can dance to or even better a combination of the both!

That said, when Oasis came along I really liked their first few releaes, it's not so much their music as there attitude to life and the fans that bigs me abiout them.

Now please excuse me, I parked my zimmer frame around here somewhere.

Re: The Gallegers

Yeah it's weird, when I first heard Eminem I thought oh know another crappy @#%$ rapper, but his stuff has just grown on me so much.

I think "The Way I Am" is great, just cos it's true about the way the fans don't let stars live their lives. I think we're probably about 4-5 weeks behind on his releases compared to the US though.

Did anyone ever see the classic one with Cher where some report catches her on video tape riding her big motorbike?
She get's off the bike and starts screaming at him about invading her privacy and what a paracite he is." As she walkes away he's like, "Man I couldn't have paid for that, thank you!" cos he knows he'll be able to sell it."

Sorry, I digrss.

Good call EJ. Blink 182 is a good band, I love their videos. They don't take themselves seriously and thats pretty cool for rock stars. And RC I kinda like Eminem too. His song "Stan" is very good, I also like "Marshall Mathers."

It would take me about an hour to tell you what I think of M
and M and you will all dissagree with me anyway so I'm just going
to say "I don't like him".

Not at all KJ, every one has their opinion and taste so there'
s no way I would hit on personal taste if you don't like something.
That wasn't my intension above, it just comments on the people
themselves.

I didn't think you would do that. I think we have our wires crossed.
But I just can't stand Eminem. Funniest line this year "
radio won't play my jam". Who exactly won't play his song?
It's everywhere. He creates this "oh I'm so disliked, and
I'm not that bad but everybody hates me because I swear and tell
it like it is" attitude and I just think he is a fake.

Yeah, on that score <img src=
http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglis...icons/tired.gif
ALT="|I"> think you have a point,
but some of his other stuff like the fans bugging him when he'
s just trying to have a private life arfe true also.

I think that can be hard for any star but some take it to the
extreme on both ends of the scale. Such as I pointed out in my
earlier posts.
