In the comics, Daredevil doesn't depend on sonar to detect proximity (although it would be more realistic, and I actually liked that aspect of the otherwise horrible movie), he has a "radar" sense. Setting off firecrackers would not be pleasant for Daredevil due to his super-sensitive hearing, but Daredevil deals with gunfire all the time, so he's used to such noises. The tactic that Bullseye used in the movie would not be as effective in the comics, but it would be a distraction.

yeah, the comics should have made it sonar rather than radar.a radar emits radiowaves.saying that, a sonar emits souns, but DD does neither, he just senses proximity by combo of other senses and the mysterious radar-sense.
