Sony Pictures Bumps Nick Cage's 'Ghost Rider'
[Thursday, December 15th, 2005]Sony Pictures has moved Nicolas Cage's Ghost Rider from its July 14, 2006, release date to President's Day weekend (February 16) 2007, says Variety.
The move is said to be due to the fact Sony has more than 28 pictures lined up for 2006. A move to summer 2007 would allow it a breather and a better chance at the box office.
The movie stars Cage as a former motorcycle stuntman named Johnny Blaze who agrees to let his body become host to a vengeful spirit -- becoming a bike-riding demon in the process -- to secure the safety of his true love, to be played by Eva Mendes.
