At the performance of 'The Magic Flute,' a beautiful woman is magnetically drawn to a handsome stranger. The two spend one magical night together resulting in a child. Though the father is never head from again, Hungarian law states that every child by the age of three must have a father's name -even a fictitious one- so a false name is entered on his birth certificate. The film tells the enchanting story of his adventurous search for a nonexisting father.
