Independence Day 2 Script Writing In Progress

ID4 producer and screenwriter Dean Devlin has told SciFi-Wire that he and director Roland Emmerich are currently working on the script for Independence Day 2. "Roland and I are writing it, so hopefully it’ll come out good. If not, we’ll bury it," said Devlin.

Although he wouldn't reveal the plot, he did say that the quality of the screenplay is very important for convincing the original cast to return. "I think if we had a good script, everyone would want to come back," he said. "If the script’s not good, then they’ll probably tell us to go our own way."
