'Indiana Jones 4' Put On Hold For Script Rewrite

Indiana Jones 4 has been put on hold while a new script draft is commissioned, according to reports by Variety. Trade sources say that George Lucas was unhappy with the current draft by scribe Frank Darabont. A new screenwriter has reportedly come on board to hone Darabont's script.

Paramount had hoped to reunite Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and Harrison Ford on the fourth movie for a 2005 release. The trio have been trying for the past decade to make one final Indiana Jones movie on the condition that all three love the concept and script.

It is thought that production would start sometime in 2005, which would mean both Ford and Spielberg would be moving on to other projects.
