Collins To Star In Latino Boxer Bio
[Thursday, July 11th, 2002]Clifton Collins Jr. ("Tigerland") has landed inside the ring opposite John Leguizamo for HBO boxing project "Infamous," reports Variety
Scripted by Frank Pugliese from a story by Leguizamo and Kathy DeMarco, pic tells the story of a Latino boxer (Leguizamo) who, while struggling with the death of his brother, looks to a former boxer, played by Collins, to help him defend his welter-weight championship.
In addition to starring, Leguizamo will co-helm with Enrique Shadyac, and is also taking an executive producer credit.
Production is skedded to start next month in Gotham.
