Paul Giamatti In 'The Illusionist' With Norton

Paul Giamatti has signed on to star opposite Edward Norton in The Illusionist, according to Variety.

The Illusionist is the story of a magician in turn-of-the-century Vienna who falls in love with a woman who becomes engaged to a prince. He then uses his powers to win her back and undermine the stability of the royal house of Vienna. Neil Burger directs.

Burger also adapted the screenplay from Steven Millhauser's short story, "Eisenheim the Illusionist."

Shooting is expected to begin on April 1 in Prague.
