Synopsis: Antoine, a cafe dwelling, intellectual, would-be writer, accustomed to loving and then leaving women, is dumped by his grilfriend. As a literary experiment he and an editor friend cook up a scheme in which Antoine makes a young woman fall in love with him, and then dumps her after the first night of lovemaking, while he keeps a writerly diary of the affair for publication.
