Bourne Identity Director Takes On 'Mr. And Mrs. Smith'
[Friday, November 8th, 2002]Doug Liman ("The Bourne Identity") is in talks to direct Regency Enterprises' action-adventure feature "Mr. and Mrs. Smith," reports The Hollywood Reporter.
The movie is being designed as a vehicle for two A-list movie stars.
The project is an original screenplay written by Simon Kinberg and is described as "The War of the Roses" meets "True Lies."
It is about a bored married couple who discover they are enemy assassins hired to kill each other.
