'Chicago' Leads Oscar Race With 13 Nominations!
[Tuesday, February 11th, 2003]The musical Chicago has topped the list of Oscar nominees with 13 nominations today, including the best motion picture honor, as the awards race gets into final gear.
The epic The Gangs of New York received 10 nominations, with the drama The Hours following with 9 nominations. Both films are nominated for best film. Next on the list for the best motion picture nominees are Peter Jacksons' The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and Holocaust drama The Pianist.
