Fox Searchlight To Remake 'Revenge Of The Nerds'

Fox Searchlight is to remake the 1984 college comedy Revenge of the Nerds, according to Variety.

The story follows a frat for the socially awkward, thick-glasses-sporting set that exacts revenge on the football players who've repeatedly humiliated them. The remake will follow a storyline similar to the original, and will likely feature cameos by original cast members.

McG is set to produce the feature, which was originally bought to him by 'The OC' star Adam Brody, who may star in the remake. "He said everyone he knew would like to see a new take on the film, and I told him that I knew every single line of the original film and the sequel," said McG. "I could definitely relate to every aspect of those films and was absolutely on the nerd side," he said.
