Synopsis: After failing to get into college, Bev Donofrio loses interest in everything. Her only pasttimes include driving around town drinking, smoking and rebelling against authority. Eventually she gets pregnant, marries, then divorces, and is forced to cope with being a single teenage parent. She ends up at an elite New England university where she tries to reach a balance between her mistakes and her goals. (The film is based on Donofrio's autobiograpy.)
