'The Ring' Director And Scribe May Return For Sequel
[Tuesday, December 10th, 2002]DreamWorks Pictures is negotiating with director Gore Verbinski and scribe Ehren Kruger to return for a sequel to "The Ring," reports Variety
The surprise fall thriller that has already grossed $123 million Stateside.
Based on Hideo Nakata's 1998 Japanese-language film of the same name, "The Ring" revolved around a killer videotape and starred Naomi Watts (news). No word yet on a storyline for the sequel.
