Sarah Michelle Gellar To Go 'Abroad'

Deep River Prods. has acquired Nina Colman's comedy pitch "A Semester Abroad" to develop for Sarah Michelle Gellar ("Buffy the Vampire Slayer"), reports Variety.

"Abroad" is a fish-out-of-water comedy that follows a tough girl from Queens on scholarship to a elite London university, where her no-nonsense demeanor puts her at odds with its stuffed-shirt denizens.

A May 2002 start for "A Semester Abroad" is the goal.
