Dimension Greenlights Fourth 'Scary Movie'
[Tuesday, April 15th, 2003]Dimension Films has given the greenlight to Scary Movie 4, even before the October release of Scary Movie 3. According to Hollywood Reporter, 'Scary Movie 4' is slated for a first-quarter 2004 release, and will see the reteaming of 'Scary Movie 3' director David Zucker along with scribes Craig Mazin and Pat Proft.
"We are so confidant in the team we have working on 'Scary Movie 3' and so pleased with what we have seen that we want to continue the momentum and begin production right away," said Dimension co-chair Bob Weinstein in a statement.
A handful of the third pic's cast will return for the fourth installment, and additional casting is under way. Production is scheduled to begin in June.
