'S Club' Head Towards Big Screen Debut

Video director Nigel Dick is in negotiations to direct.
The project is a negative pickup by Sony Pictures, which will distribute the project in the United Kingdom.
Sony also distributed "Spice World," the big-screen feature film starring former British pop group the Spice Girls that Simon Fuller executive produced. Fuller is producing "Double" with Alan Barnette ("Sliders").
Kim Fuller ("Spice World") wrote the original script for "Double," which Sally Robinson ("A Far Off Place") is rewriting.
is about the adventures of six young adults -- four girls and two boys -- in their early 20s. S Club, originally known as S Club 7, is composed of Hannah Spearritt, Jon Lee, Tina Barrett, Rachel Stevens, Bradley Mcintosh and Jo O'Meara.
The group was created in 1999 by Fuller, who handpicked the teens from nearly 10,000 hopefuls. The group was renamed S Club earlier this year after seventh member Paul Cattermole departed.
The project, which will begin shooting in the fall.
