Danny Boyle To Direct 'Slumdog Millionaire'

Celador Films and Film4 have greenlit Danny Boyle's "Slumdog Millionaire," with Warner Independent Pictures and Pathe in advanced negotiations to take domestic and international rights respectively.
Based on true events and scripted by Simon Beaufoy ("The Full Monty"), it's the story of an illiterate street kid from Mumbai who wins the jackpot on the Indian version of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?"
