Channing Tatum Joins Phillippe In 'Stop Loss'


Channing TatumChanning Tatum is set to join Ryan Phillippe in Paramount Pictures Iraq war drama Stop Loss, says the Hollywood Reporter.

The feature, helmed by Kimberly Peirce, tells the story of a soldier (Phillippe) who finishes a tour of duty in Iraq only to be told that he has to serve another so he goes AWOL. Tatum plays a hot-shot fighter from Texas.

Shooting was originally slated to begin in April, but due to casting taking longer than expected it is currently being worked around Phillippe's schedule.
