No Brian Singer For Next Superman?

Friday, January 4th, 2008

Variety columnist Anne Thompson reported that it is "highly unlikely" that Superman Returns helmer Bryan Singer will return to shoot the next Superman movie.

Singer is finishing up Tom Cruise's Nazi film Valkyrie and prepping The Mayor of Castro Street.

"The next Superman we will see on the big screen will not be [Superman Returns star] Brandon Routh, but a younger Superman among a cast of youthful superheroes in ... Justice League," Thompson wrote. "That movie will likely not be shot, however, until after the [writers'] strike is resolved."

I like Bryan Singer as a director, but his take on superman seemed more of a tribute
than a fresh take on the man of steel. It has been nearly thirty years since the big screen superman debut in the late seventies has become legend,Singer and co were
trying to hard to emulate emulate the earlier blockbuster in style, that it compromised the story,Lets hope the next one will be more original in plotting and style,I have another beef that is in casting of the man of steel Routh is okay but he is more of a superboy than superman,I had the impression in the comics that superman is in his mid thirties,Superman has this wisdom about him, because of all this power he has,Donner conveyed with Cristepher Reeves.

I don't like the way people underate superman. He is been underated. He is said to be the strongest superhero, but it is not shown like that. Me and my friends think that in his next movies most of his powers that have never been shown before should be shown extraordinarily. To avoid underating
