No 'Sixth Sense' Sequel for Osment
[Tuesday, February 27th, 2001]It was being reported last week that a sequel to 'The Sixth Sense' may be on the cards for director M. Night Shyamalan, but it seems that an original cast member isn't so keen.
Haley Joel Osment, in an interview with Popcorn, said he has no plans to reprise his role as the ghost-seeing Cole Sears. The 12-year-old star has now confirmed he won't be taking up any offers and believes a second film is completely unnecessary, because the original "does without a sequel".
Osment just completed work on Steven Spielberg's ultra-secret sci-fi project 'A.I.'. When asked if he could see himself returning to the character that made him famous, Osment says he's moved on in terms of his career and doesn't think it would be a good idea.
