Lara Croft To Fight Evil In Wales

Lara Croft: Tomb Raider 2 is to be filmed in north Wales, UK, reports Ananova.

The movie sequel will see Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft battling a crime syndicate in China.

Filming has already begun in Greece but some of the scenes will be shot around Snowdonia and other beauty spots in north Wales.

Computer graphics will be used to doctor the images and make Caernarfonshire look more like China.

A spokesman for the Wales Screen Commission's north Wales office said: "I can confirm that scenes from the Tomb Raider sequel will be filmed here in the near future.

"The film company is looking at about half a dozen locations in north-west Wales.

"We are delighted they have chosen to film here and we will be working closely with them to ensure everything goes smoothly."

The spokesman was unable to confirm whether the filming would require Angelina Jolie to travel to Wales.
