In 1981, Hector Babenco's "Pixote," a gritty account of the crime-ridden life of a 10-year-old street orphan, became an international sensation and drew considerable attention to its star, baby-faced Fernando Ramos da Silva. Filmmaker Jose Joffily traces da Silva's rise and fatal fall in this dramatic reconstruction.
