Marvel Sue 'Zoom's Academy' For Copyright

Marvel Enterprises and 20th Century Fox have filed suit against Sony and Revolution for copyright infringement and unfair competition, claiming that the upcoming Sony/Revolution sci-fi comedy Zoom's Academy uses key elements from the X-Men franchise, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The lawsuit, seeking injunctive relief and monetary damages, was filed Monday in U.S. District Court, Central District of California. It alleges that Zoom's Academy, which stars Tim Allen and Chevy Chase and is based on Jason Lethcoe's graphic novel "Zoom's Academy for the Super Gifted," borrows heavily from the X-Men mythology, popularized in the Marvel comic books and the two Fox/Marvel film adaptations
