Synopsis:

Will, a 36-year-old underachiever with a major fear of commitment, seeks out relationships with single mothers on the assumption they are more desperate than he is. When Will becomes best friends with 12-year-old Marcus (to get closer to his next single-mom relationship), he discovers true friendship as Marcus helps him to finally grow up, and he teaches Marcus how to be a cool kid. About a Boy is based on British writer Nick Hornby's (High Fidelity) novel of the same name.
