Jamie Foxx is to star in the adaptation of Jeff Stetson's novel
Blood on the Leaves, according to Variety.
Stetson will adapt his own work, which centers on a district attorney who grapples with feelings of revenge as he prosecutes a black history professor on trial for the murders of white men accused of crimes against blacks during the civil rights movement. Foxx would topline as the D.A.
Warner Books published the tome in July 2004.
