Djimon Hounsou is in final talks to join Leonardo DiCaprio in Warner Bros. Pictures drama
Blood Diamond, says the Hollywood Reporter.
Set in war-torn Sierra Leone, the feature centers on a poor African farmer (Hounsou) who gets caught up in a conflict between an American diamond smuggler (DiCaprio) and the syndicate that controls the local diamond mining industry.
Jennifer Connelly is also in talks to play an American journalist. The project is helmed by Edward Zwick.
