Schwartzman To Direct 'Carlisle School'

Carlisle School
Oscar-nominated cinematographer John Schwartzman will make his directorial debut on the football movie Carlisle School, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The film tells the true story of a rag-tag team of American Indian football players, led by future sports legend and Olympic gold medalist Jim Thorpe. The men attended the Carlisle Indian Industrial School, a boarding school in Pennsylvania that from 1879-1918 housed American Indians from childhood through college. The men overcame long odds in the early part of the 20th century to defeat some of the best college football teams in the nation.
