Woody Allen's 'Cassandra's Dream' For Weinstein

The Weinstein Co. has acquired U.S., Australian, and New Zealand rights to Woody Allen's suspense drama "Cassandra's Dream," starring Ewan McGregor, Colin Farrell and Tom Wilkinson, it was announced Wednesday by TWC co-chairman Harvey Weinstein. Wild Bunch handled worldwide foreign sales at the Cannes market for "Cassandra's Dream," which was written and directed by the Oscar-winning Allen and produced by Letty Aronson, Stephen Tenenbaum, and Gareth Wiley, with cinematography by Vilmos Zsigmond and a score by Philip Glass.
Allen turned down a Cannes closing night Fest berth for "Cassandra's." The film will likely make its debut at the upcoming Venice Film Fest.
