Anthony Hopkins is to star in James Ivory latest film
The City Of Your Final Destination, according to Production Weekly.
Based on the novel by Peter Cameron and stars stars Omar Metwally as an Iranian-born graduate student at the University Of Kansas who travels to Argentina to seek permission from the family of a deceased Latin American author to write his authorized biography.
Hopkins plays the author’s brother, Laura Linney his widow, Charlotte Gainsbourg his mistress and Hiro Sanada the lover of Hopkins’ character. Ivory’s longtime screenwriting collaborator Ruth Prawer Jhabvala wrote the screenplay. Hopkins has worked with Ivory on three previous occasions – in “Howards End,” “The Remains Of The Day” and “Surviving Picasso”.
