Showtime Networks has picked up TV rights to the Miramax Films title "Daddy and Them," a dark comedy written and directed by Billy Bob Thornton, reports The Hollywood Reporter
Based on Thornton's original story about a poor Arkansas family, the 2001 film never got a theatrical release.
The film, which stars Thornton, Laura Dern, Diane Ladd, Kelly Preston and Andy Griffith, is produced by Geyer Kosinski, Larry Meistrich and Robert Salerno.
"Daddy and Them" will premiere on Showtime early next year.
